One of the world’s greatest programmatic works inspired by nature is brought to life by violinist, Harry Bennetts and soloists of the Festival.
VIVALDI’S FOUR SEASONS | PIAZZOLLA TANGOS
FAREWELL - Seasons
The Festival closes with perhaps one of the greatest programmatic works ever written: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.Extraordinary for their virtuosity, infectious melodies and imaginative depiction of the Seasons, the timeless works capture Nature in all its glory. Together with violinist Harry Bennetts, the artists of the 2027 Festival bring to life the babbling brooks, barking dogs, rustic bagpipes, cooing turtle-doves, weeping shepherds, thunder and lightning.
In a twist, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons will be played alongside Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s Four Tangos of Buenos Aires, brilliantly reimagined by Leonid Desyatnikov.
Following the performance, join the musicians for a complimentary glass of wine.
