BCMF25—the fifth—fell on the Anzac weekend, so there were 7 concerts, featuring over 30 premier Australian and international artists.
They all played to packed houses—and 3 of them Sold Out.
Highlights were: Reginald Mobley singing Bach; Lior and
Nigel Westlake’s COMPASSION; Ross Edwards and Diana Doherty
chatting on-stage; two world premiere for our flute, clarinet, bassoon
& saxophone quartet—WHISTLER IN THE WIND by Stephen Adams
and an arrangement of WAGAMBIRRA by John Shephard;
Harry Sdraulig’s rearrangement of the last two movements of his
spine-tingling STARLIT to accommodate the unusual instruments
of the TAKE TWELVE concert, beginning with a solo movement
for the piano, played by Andrea Lam.
